Today marked the inauguration of the 44th President of these United States.
After much hype, as of 12:04pm today, it is truly time to see if President Obama will fulfill his spoken promises of "change," and begin the process of mending our broken nation. Usually, I like to take a neutral stance in the subject of politics, but today, from the hours of 11:00am until about 1:30pm, there was a sense of anticipation and great emotion felt through the entire nation, joined together through the live broadcasting of the ceremony on every news channel. Today I felt a tinge of pride from being a part of a country that is about to undergo one of the greatest turning points in almost a decade.
I can only invest a bit of hope that Obama is not simply an excellent spokesperson, but that he and his cabinet will help bring us out of this crisis and restore faith in our leaders.
With all my heart, my best wishes go toward world peace and prosperity.
The new view from our living room window. Just perfect. I'll try not to develop frequent nightmares or paranoia: School starts up again in exactly one week! Apprehension/fear/anxiety/excitement/dreadfulness/diarrhea. In other news, I've been good about sticking to not eating well and exercising everyday, and have been able to fit comfortably into my skinny jeans.
I haven't had many golden photo opportunities lately.
2009 Resolution: Live more healthily and rid of this: Christmas was fine, New Year's was cute, though neither of them eventful. Mmm, other than that, I'm just enjoying my "me" time and doing some inspirational research/reading.
Curently Listening to: CSS - Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above
SSION opened for CSS at Webster Hall. They were a RIDICULOUSLY OUTRAGEOUSLY gay synth-dance band with synchronized gay dancers in tights and face paint. The lead singer looked like Prince and George Michael's lovechild. SSION wasn't too bad and they were a butt load of fun: Setlist before they came on:Finally the show started!!...with an amazing tranny dancing solo on stage:Lovefoxx!!!!:I was standing up against the stage (literally) under Carolina and Ana:Ana, clearly having as great of a time as we are:Stage, cheering for encore:SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD, as usual.
