I got black on Shelter Island again this weekend. This is pretty much all that's been going on in my life right now. Babies, babies, sun, riding the waves, sun, babies, biking, babies, clam-digging and sun.
Anyway, while it was 91 degrees Fahrenheit in New York City, I decided to take a mini-vacation on Shelter Island until this heat wave calmed down a bit.

Anyway it's great and as equally excellent as their debut album, if not better. Their sound this time around is less dark (i.e. "Alala") but more uplifting and fun, more reflective of their philosophy of never taking anything seriously and being able to make a song out of the most ridiculous situations.
Donkey features a lot of echoing guitar riffs with quirky synth sequences and clapping. Lovefoxxx sings in such a way that makes you imagine her rolling on the floor and waving her arms around like the ridiculously cute catsuit-wearing person she is.
Some outstanding songs are "Beautiful Song" and "Air Painter." The entire album is great overall and I'm SO excited to see them at All Points West in 2 weeks.
